It only seems like yesterday when we last upgraded our website hosting dedicated web servers, in fact that was back 2005!  Back then we upgraded to 2 Dell dedicated servers and were proud to boast of our hosting acheivements.

 

Since then Axyswebs have added 5 more web servers making a total of 7 website hosting machines based throughout England, Scotland and the USA.  The original 2 web servers from back in 2005 have this week seen an upgrade to 2 brand new Dell boxes based in a data centre in Glasgow.  For stability we decided to stay with Windows 2003 Server operating system on one machine and Linux on the other.  Running Xeon X3210 QuadCore 2.13 Ghz CPUs, large SATA harddrives and loads of DDR RAM Axyswebs can stay true to our policy of not over crowding web servers and keeping a maximum of 50 websites per dedicated server.  Unlike many hosting companies who cram 100s of websites onto a machine, as the saying goes 'you gets what you pay for'!

Axyswebs new servers offer its clients a control panel in which they can administrate their website and domain preferences.  Administration includes email setting, file manager for website html file access, ftp accounts, SSL certificate management and more.
